The Selkirk First Nation cultural centre at Pelly Crossing is housed in a replica of Fort Selkirk’s Big Jonathan House. This attraction has a range of displayed works by local artists, as well as locally-made beaded clothing, birch bark baskets, traditional baby bunting bag, tools, plus more. Some are for sale. A model of a fish trap and a fish rack illustrate the catching, drying and smoking of the summer fish catch for winter use. Watch the Fort Selkirk: Voices of the People video to learn more about this interesting region and its people.
